Ronald Andringa
Dr. Ronald Andringa is the Research Program Manager for the NIH-funded project Florida FIRST, Center of Population Sciences for Health Equity, and U54 project. He earned his PhD in Cognitive psychology from Florida State University working under the advisement of Dr. Walter R. Boot. His research experience began as a Research Assistant and Project Coordinator on a study focused on the human factors and developmental aspects of an at-home Telehealth intervention clinical trial for older adults suffering from heart failure. His research interests were varied and included research on reward, video games, and visual attention that focused on how to reliably measure attention, how it relates to individual difference factors (e.g., training, transfer of training, performance metrics), and translating insights from theoretical work in visual attention to applied contexts (e.g., camouflage visual search).
